Syrien und Deutschland treffen sich wieder im Künstlerdialog < 13. ARTIST TALK - Künstlerische Positionen im Dialog >. Zwei junge Künstlerinnen, Marwa Younes Almokbel und Christa Fülbier stellen ihr Portfolio am Freitag 30. August vor und bieten am folgenden Samstag ab 15.00 Uhr einen gemeinsamen Kunstworkshop.
Einmal im Monat treffen sich im internationalen Kulturzentrum Ulme35 Künstler*innen bzw. Künstlerkollektive aus Deutschland mit Künstlerkolleg*innen, die kürzlich nach Berlin gekommen sind. In einer lockeren Gesprächsrunde am Freitagabend im Salon der Ulme35 erzählen sie über ihre künstlerische Tätigkeit, ihrer Herkunft, ihr Arbeitsumfeld. Am Samstag Nachmittag findet ein gemeinsamer partizipativer Workshop statt, in dem die Gastkünstler*innen und interessierte Teilnehmer*innen sich in einem neuen experimentellen Dialogfeld begegnen: sie erarbeiten gemeinsam ein künstlerisches Format - ein kollektives Bild, eine performative Darstellung, ein Manifest, einen Film... Die Formate sind nicht vorgegeben, jedes mal lassen wir uns von den Künstler*innen überrraschen.
Beide Künstlerinnen verbindet das Experimentelle und Interdisziplinäre, auch wenn ihre Arbeiten, Installationen bzw. Performances jeweils sehr individuelle Formsprachen haben. Die Rauminstallationen von Christa Fülbier thematisieren u.a. die Bedeutung dessen, was dem kreativen Akt vorausgeht: also die Wahrnehmung an sich, als ein im künstlerischen Sinn kontemplativer, meditativer und reflexiver Vorgang. Marwa Younes Almokbel studierte Druckgrafik in Damaskus, entwickelte dann ausgehend von einer ikonografischen Malerei Performances, die eine persönliche Auseinandersetzungen mit Bewegung, Ausgrenzung und Natur darstellen.

Syria and Germany meet again in the artist dialogue < 13. ARTIST TALK - Artistic Positions in Dialogue >. Two young artists Artists Marwa Younes Almokbel and Christa Fülbier present their Portfolio on Friday 30th August and give at next Saturday afternoon a workshop.
On each month, artists or artist collectives from Germany will meet with fellow artists who recently arrived in Berlin, at the international cultural centre Ulme35 (Ulme 35 – Raum für Kunst, Kultur & Begegnung). During an informal talk in the salon of the Ulme35 on Friday evening, they will present their artistic work, their background and their work environment. In a workshop on Saturday afternoon the invited artists will meet the attendees in a new experimental dialogue field. Together they will develop an artistic format, a joint picture, a performance, a manifesto, a film... The formats will not be pre-defined; we want the artists to surprise us on each occasion.
Both artists* connect the experimental and the interdisciplinary, even if their works, installations and performances each have very individual languages of form. Christa Fülbier's spatial installations explore, among other things, the meaning of what precedes the creative act: in other words, perception per se, as a contemplative, meditative and reflective process in the artistic sense. Marwa Younes Almokbel studied printmaking in Damascus, then developed performances based on iconographic painting that represent a personal confrontation with movement, social exclusion and nature.
